The Mailbox Bar, Lincoln Visited late afternoon/early evening and, honestly, I thought I’d walked into the staff’s day off. Not a soul in sight. I could’ve reenacted *I Am Legend* in there and no one would’ve noticed. But as the early evening rolled in, the students began trickling through the door like migrating birds returning for pint season. The place is huge, well laid out, and the outdoor area has more tables than a maths exam — genuinely massive. Now, based on what you hear at the weekend — that *sonic-boom-level* music you can detect from 100 yards away — I expected my ears to be sacrificed. But nope. Not a bassline in sight on our visit. Thank the pub gods. I’m guessing this place turns into a full-on festival at weekends. Drinks… a touch on the pricey side. For 3 pints of cider, a vodka & coke, and 4 baby Guinness shots, my wallet left the building £43 lighter — but still smiling. I’m assuming students get some super-secret discount, otherwise they’d never afford rent. Overall? Cracking place. Quiet-ish during the week for chilled drinks with mates and absolutely *the* spot if you like your weekends loud, packed, and pounding like a nightclub with windows. Will definitely visit again! Didn't try the food although company did, said normal pub food, they had burgers. So I can't comment on the food. Roll on the weekend, I have ear plugs, bring it on.

Only stopped in for a pint while exploring the city in the evening. We didnt eat so cant comment on the food. Well priced drinks and only reason for 4 stars on service is bar tender seemed new but with very little training before being put on a bar to serve. Asked what drinks we wanted 4 times after ordering and didnt know where the pumps were
