Argyle on tour 😊‼️6hr train journey to get here so it would be rude not to have a pint or two before watching the match. Not my favourite pub…. pretty austere but apparently it does lots of gigs. Lots of nice ales but not a lot of seats. Walked to the ground in 48 minutes and we won 5 - 1 ‼️😃 Now that doesn’t happen every day 🤣😂
Amazing pub for CAMRA members, great selection of real ales, ciders and draught regulars. Lovely home cooked food and plenty of seating inside and out. Fantastic find located a few minutes from the train station.
Visited here between Christmas and New Year with a group of mates, around 12 of us in total. Bar snack/menu available, I had a couple of sandwiches made, £2.50 each which was okay as far as I was concerned. Beer choice is decent, bar staff are very polite and friendly and it’s probably a good reason for me to visit again as it’s in the city centre and 1 minute walk away from the railway station which I use several times a week. Music venue at weekends. Good, spacious and heated outdoor seating at the back.
Great small room upstairs that is great for that intimate gig. Not sure if there's a lift so anyone with mobility issues then be aware. No seating upstairs either. Card only bottle bar upstairs too. Didn't have any food therefore no rating for that. Would get a 5 out of 5 stars if there was some seating available for us that have mobility issues.
No trip to Doncaster is complete without visiting this traditional old pub. Vaults on the left, lounge on the right as you enter. 3 different cask ales on sale in each bar.
