📍 1.2 miles from Cardiff City Stadium
Blue Bell is a central Cardiff pub (33 High Street, CF10 1PU) that actively shows live sport, including major football like the Champions League final, and promotes fixtures on its channels. Posts reference games shown “live on our screens,” and they advertise sports on big screens. For matchdays, it’s convenient to meet in the city centre before or after a game or to watch on TV if you’re not heading to the stadium. The pub serves food with stated kitchen hours (most days until 20:00), helpful for pre- or post-match meals, and it keeps late weekend opening (to 02:00), covering evening kick-offs. Visit Cardiff also lists the venue with its address and highlights its food and drink offer, reinforcing its role as a city-centre matchday option.
Fantastic spot, just across the street from the Cardiff castle. Excellent selection of beverages and friendly staff. A group of us went there and, liking the place so much, we stayed for hours.
Wonderful pub located in the heart of Cardiff right across the road from the iconic Cardiff Castle. This pub has changed over the year as many of the pubs have but it still maintains that warm and welcoming ambience. Engaging staff, hearty food and a well kept selection of beer. A must visit on any visit to Cardiff
I had the Welsh Faggots and a pint of cider. The food was not bad, but the taste could have been better. The ambient and the staff deserve five star, but the food maybe not
Very nice pub but doesn’t have many tables. Welsh food is delicious
A cracking pub in a brilliant location. Ordered a pint of cask ale. Barrel was lively and bubbled the bar staff found this not good enough and started a fresh pint to ensure a smooth pint with a great head. Also at a great price. Wonderful classic fixings, music at nice level. A champion pub
