In the town centre and 0.6 miles from Ipswich railway station, The Falcon is an easy meet-up for matchdays. It shows live sport on multiple and bigger screens, so you can catch early kick-offs or post-match action. Food is served at both lunch and dinner, giving fans a convenient pre-match bite or a sit-down after the game. These factors make it a practical stop for supporters heading to or from Portman Road by train.
Had a few drinks here earlier Saturday evening. We saw it had Karaoke so came back later. The women at the door asked for my friends ID, she was just finding it when she said actually you are not coming in. She was really aggressive and claimed my friend was drunk. She wasn't and when we pointed this out she again acted rudely and very aggressively. The pub wasn't that busy so they obviously don't need the business. Total powertrip on the door who is costing the pub trade. Won't be going back.
1st Impressions stick! And your female "so called" door supervisor is the worst I've ever come across! Guessing she was given her "apparent" licence from and amusement arcade claw machine! Will not be bringing my custom here ever again. And judging by the comments this isn't the 1st complaint. 1 star is too much! My advice Sack her!
Dodgy is an understatement, staff not paid then sacked, watered down liquor, dirty cutlery, glasses, signs of rats, terrible customer service and the owner sleeps in the pub which is illegal worrying there will be a reprisal on him. Not quite the esteemed establishment.
We went in to get out off the Rain but spent 2 hours in great deals for food and alots of choice of ales. Great luxury seats to fall asleep on.
Your friendly neighborhood hangout place in Ipswich. It's become mine and my partner's new favourite. Karaoke is a big hit every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Needless to say the weekends are crazy fun! Fun crew here too! Haven't had the chance to try their food yet, hopefully will do soon.
