📍 0.3 miles from Portman Road
In Ipswich town centre on King Street, the pub is a straightforward walk to Portman Road; club away information notes the town centre is about a 10-minute walk from the stadium. It’s also around 0.6 miles from Ipswich railway station, making it handy for train-traveling supporters. On matchdays, having food available at lunchtime and in the evening is useful before or after the game, and the venue serves meals. Cask ale is available for those looking for a pre- or post-match pint.
Up for Ipswich vs Oxford on new year day. Walk on new year eve about 3pm have for pint. Going back to travelogue. Nice n friendly pub. Bud light £4.70
Nice little pub in Ipswich town. Good atmosphere and live music. Plenty of outside seating. Decent drinks and fair prices.
Very quaint and friendly pub in the heart of Ipswich. Staff very friendly, great incentive with a loyalty card scheme. Plenty of outside space and clean toilets.
Shocking experience at the pub. Went in with some mates and had a go on the slots. Immediately kicked off for not being a paying customer, so most of us decided to get drinks. Got id’d again and bags searched. We went to sit at a table outside. Same lady who served us came and found us within a minute of us sitting down and told us in a confronting manor to leave the pub as not all of us bought drinks stating it’s not a drop in it’s a pub. Sorry but not every single person has to buy a drink then and there to be able to socialise at a pub. We didn’t argue and just decided to leave. Will not be returning. Worst pub experience to date. Lady’s attitude towards customers needs to be sorted.
Love it landlord very friendly food fantastic reasonable prices staff very nice and chatty toilets immaculate well worth a visit x
