Set just off the A63 and adjacent to St Andrew’s Quay Retail Park, Red Sails is handy for drivers heading into Hull on matchdays. It serves a daily carvery and full menus throughout the day, making it easy to get a proper pre- or post-match meal. The pub lists cask ales among its offerings and has on-site parking—useful when travelling by car for a game.
It's a nice enough chain restaurant but we'd popped in for a Carvery and it wasn't very good. We usually go to Toby or Wingfield farm sometimes Lambwath. This by far the worst,it's like it's an add on to the main restaurant they do all the main items like Grill and burgers etc which I've had in their other restaurants in Hull which are usually good. The actual Carvery meat was dry roasties overcooked and tough caulie cheese not cooked, instant smash burnt carrots cabbage okay leeks were a nice option yorkies okay but nothing to write home about and I'm dead sure the pigs in blankets had been warmed up in the microwave they had that taste. Overall I won't be having a Carvery here again maybe one of the other items on the menu.
Me and my partner come here regularly every sunday nearly, came in early today and been told we could sit anywhere which we love to choose a spot, we then went to the bar to order food and drinks. We then found our spot then waited for our food whilst supping a fruit cider cherries and berries which is refreshing and we've had a few waiters ask if everything is ok and the food is lovely very good quality and good for your money I'd reccomend coming here its a good family friendly pub lovely atmosphere and the staff are really professional and very helpful which is nice and refreshing, then not long after our food came very happy customers x
Its always a good meal. Very busy today so i booked ahead, requesting a specific table 45. As 2 persons with me are 95% visually impared. Table 45 is perfect for them, near to the carvery and the loo's. Also a bright natural light. Today this was unavailable due to day drinkers. We were given another table, table 5. Granted under a window, but at the very far side, juggling 2 blind pensioners around a full pub and a baby on the floor was quite challenging. But aditional service requests were spot on. New review...... ......Wow todays visit 21/02/26. Ordered a sirloin steak- mixed grill- gammon. 100% perfect!! Additional request is possible to remove fat & grissle or as much as possible due to sight issues... chef completely nailed our meal today. 🥳🥳🥳 thankyou.
Absolutely amazing service, I booked a table for me and my partner on the 27th for today (February 14th). They didnt mind we was abit late for the booking, we arrived. Confirmed our table for the evening, I went up to the bar to order our food and drinks, only to find out we had won the burn the bill that the team was running. Such an amazing surprise especially when I was willing to pay. The staff were amazing. I highly recommend coming here, the carvery and sticky toffee pudding is to die for 😍😍. I will be returning!!!
Hello Red sails Today was a special day for me and my friend at Table 34 at the red Sails in Hull, because today (1 March 2026) is St Davids day, a very special and cultural date for us Welsh, everything was fine, with the table location, plated food and service, except for the garlic bread with cheese that I ordered as a side dish. When the garlic bread with cheese arrived it was not grilled, and too soft and the cheese was a liquid oozing all over the bread and plate, it had been over microwaved and was not to standard. Alex who was our waitress completely understood and was very apologetic about the poor standard of the Garlic bread with cheese, she took it away and changed it for one that had been grilled and was also crunchy with melted cheese on top. Alex also came back to make sure the rest of our meal and drink were acceptable and to Marston standards, I know to some people it may seam she was doing her job, but in my experience, Alex was delivering good customer experience and making sure the good name of the red sails and Marstons was maintained. Alex is a credit to the red sails, her fellow work colleagues and the management team at red sails and Marston’s, I hope Alex receives the praise and thanks of Marstons just as much as Alex has my thanks for just being awesome on St Davids Day I wish to send my complaments and thanks to Alex, Marstons and all the staff at The Red sails.
