The malt shovel is a popular community pub with a decent choice of beers, larger, and cider at cheap prices. The staff are friendly and welcoming. there are TVs for sports and music videos, and there is plenty of outside seating at the front of the pub.

Great little pub , bar staff were excellent , got served really quickly and enjoyed a couple of pints prior to a Hull City game , will certainly return .
