I'd not visited in over 20yrs, I booked a table for my father's birthday as it's close to him and overall convenient for both of us. Upon walking in we were pleasantly treated by a hostess who was friendly, courteous and helpful, despite being early we were seated straight away. My steak was perfect, one of the better I've had over recent years, my father and my wife both opted for the steak pie which they both enjoyed immensely. There was a little confusion with the desert order which I put down to miscommunication on my part, everything arrived in good time and was tasty. Not the cheapest of places but that's reflected in the quality. My only negative although the sign in the men's toilet was humourous, the place had a smell reminiscent of a it no biggy I'm in and out but I felt full disclosure worth mentioning.
Amazing service as always, so polite and positive approach to the customer. The kitchen staff is incredible, so professional, the food (top steaks and burgers) was super delicious. The environment is friendly, family and cosy. The Old fellows is our family choice for any special occasions such as weddings, birthday celebrations.
Very nice staff. The food is good even if a bit more expensive than other pubs of different chains. The place is very comfy and welcoming. We go there regularly.
Consistently great food and service! Highly recommended! 5th visit now, consistently great! Another visit, more great food and absolutely fantastic service from Jamie and Charlotte! Back again, this time for the festive menu it was absolutely delicious! Every component was really lovely, highly recommended. Back again Feb 2025 to try the new menu, absolutely stunning food and service as always. New pics added. Back again March 2025 just cannot fault this place, had the best cappuccino ever this time. I liked the atmosphere. Food was ok,most of my party enjoyed it but 2 ppl said that Yorkshire puddings were overcooked. Our table was in the bar area which was fine but had to ask multiple times to be cleaned from previous guests-it looked like it was just partly cleaned(some food leftovers on the table and quite sticky). Most of staff was nice apart from one girl who looked like she wasn't particularly happy to be there. Not sure if I will be back,just a medium experience but not the best.
