📍 0.8 miles from London Stadium
On Stratford Broadway near major transport, the pub is about 500m from Stratford station and 450m from Stratford High Street DLR, making it an easy pre- or post-match meet for London Stadium fixtures. Listings show it as a Sky Sports/football venue, so you can catch live games on TV. It’s also flagged in West Ham fan and stadium-area guides as a handy matchday option, and the pub’s own posts reference welcoming fans for West Ham home games, reinforcing its role as a home-crowd spot on matchdays.
The King Edward VII, a quiet pub on the busy Broadway in Stratford, east London. A lovely " old school" pub with flagstone floors and wood panelled walls. A small courtyard, a games (pool) area on the raised area to the rear, there is a saloon bar as well along with an interloping pigeon 🐦 who has decided to take up residency. On the unfortunate side most of the beers that would normally be available, only a couple were available due to unspecified reasons. No cask ale although, Fuller's Pride may be available in another day.
Super old school cool. We wanted a traditional local pub feel and got that in full. The manager was very friendly too. Grad a pint and enjoy.
Little London pub with split levels and and out door area serving a variety of beers and the normal alcoholic beverages. They were understaffed when we were there but the staff were polite and fairly quick to serve. We moved to the back bar as it was empty and the front bar was full, only to wait 10-15 minutes and be told that bar was shut? So we had to squeeze back into the front bar again. I'd come back but only for a few beers I reckon even though they were serving and selling food to.
It's sad to see such a beautiful pub dying. The oldest pub in Stratford. Such a nice decor, a real ancient pub, but sadly empty, few beers available and careless people working here. It was a jewel years ago and now it's almost gone.
I had an incredible experience in this pub, I tried their Sunday roast, apple crumble with custard, Steak Ale Pie and cheesecake. The plates are served all hot with a great quantity of food. In both occasions that I ate there, I left very very satisfied and full. The food is delicious and I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone, it’s worth every penny. Consider yourself lucky if you’re staying close to the King Edward VII.
