📍 0.2 miles from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Right on the High Road within earshot of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, No.8 is set up for Spurs matchdays. The pub explicitly says it’s the place to be for all Tottenham home matches and runs live bands and DJs after games, creating a lively post-match atmosphere. For those without tickets or for early/late kick-offs, they show Sky and BT/TNT Sports on site, and listings note Sports TV/Sky Sports and big screens. There are also two beer gardens for pre/post-match pints close to the ground. All of this makes it a convenient home-fan hub on Spurs matchdays.
£13.50 for a Guinness!? Worst pub on the planet? TLDR: Never go to this pub. I recently visited Spurs for a game, and visited this pub prior the game. I ordered a pint and paid without looking at the price. When I got the payment notification through on my phone I was shocked and astounded. £13.50 for a single pint. I originally thought that I had been charged for two pints (or perhaps accidentally bought a share in the brewery), so I went back to the bar, but alas the polite lady behind the bar explained to me that this was in fact the price for a single pint. Never in all of my years on this planet have I been charged so far above the fair market values for a beer. This price is genuinely double what you might expect to pay in some parts of the city. I am upset and outraged at this extreme predatory pricing. Obviously, this is a pub outside a football stadium so you might expect it to be on the expensive side, but this is far beyond the pale. To top all of this off, the pint wasn't even served in a Guinness glass, it came in a sad, flimsy plastic cup, like something you’d drink out of at a house party. For £13.50, I was half-expecting at least a harpist to serenade me while I drank it. As far as I can work out, here is the breakdown of the cost: Guinness (standard issue): £6.50 Football proximity tax: £2.00 Plastic cup fee (luxury upgrade): £1.50 Emotional damage surcharge: £3.00 Total: £13.50 Obviously I write this review with a twist of humour, but this is clearly daylight robbery and someone should shout it out. If I could give negative stars, I most certainly would.
We attended the NFL game at Spurs and popped in for a beer. There was no visible price list and having asked for 2 pints of bog standard IPA, we were charged a staggering £27. What? £13.50p a pint. An absolute disgrace. Stay well clear. There are much better venues a short walk away.
Absolute joke of a place and huge break of advertising laws. The prices shown to us before we ordered were not the price we paid. £100 for 3 beers and 3 very average burgers. They showed us £13.50 a burger and clearly was charged almost double that. When questioned the response was 'That's the price today'. The beer was flat, rude staff and all round terrible. I think they exploit tourists who were visiting to watch the NFL game at Tottenham. Would never visit or recommend to anyone.
This is a great place to go after the football. Very festive pub!!! If you cant actually get tickets to the game this will make up for the loss. The bar is nice and big and has many different areas to eat and drink. There are loads to screens to watch the footie so you will not miss the action. People are friendly and after the game there is normally some live entertainment. Overall a good experience and I would go again given the chance. There are the normal variety of beers on offer and many street vendors outside of you need different kinds of foods. I actually didnt want to leave. Do It!!!
Lovely atmosphere on match days.but when we realised what we was charged for two drinks 18.80. It's cheaper in stadium won't be going back. Back to the bricklayers.
