📍 0.6 miles from Stadium of Light
City-centre pub in Sunderland’s Cultural Quarter, a short walk from the Stadium of Light via the city-centre route that fans commonly use on matchdays (~15 minutes). It’s regularly mentioned alongside nearby pre-match spots like The Peacock and The Fire Station, and local supporters note it welcomes away fans. The Dun Cow serves a full food menu and specialises in cask and craft beer, making it a practical meet-up before or after games.
Came for a quick drink. Beautiful pub located in the centre of Sunderland. Lots of history to the place. Real fire heating the place up nicely.Nice choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and welcoming. Relaxed casual vibe to the place. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
The perfect pub! It's like stepping back in time. We could have spent hours in here sampling different ales in this cosy and welcoming pub. Sad that there aren't many pubs like this left in the UK. A must visit if you are ever thirsty in Sunderland, stunning!
Very nice pub with lovely interior, it is a small pub but plenty of seats and some seats at bar area
Great small stylish local. Recognized by Camera for it's interior. Very welcoming. Good real ale
Fantastic style of pub, unchanged decor in a long time. Great selection of beers and lagers on Draft and Cask. Food wasn't as great as I expected but still very nice, maybe slightly overpriced. Great, friendly bar service though. Calm, chilled atmosphere inside.
