📍 0.7 miles from Stadium of Light
City-centre Irish tavern with multiple screens and “LIVE SPORT DAILY,” explicitly including football, so you can watch early kick-offs or post-match highlights. It also mentions outdoor viewing on the terrace. CAMRA/WhatPub note several TVs and list Sports TV, plus it’s just a 4-minute walk to Park Lane Interchange and close to rail and Metro, making it handy for getting to/from the Stadium of Light on matchdays. Pool and darts give fans something to do pre- or post-game. Drinks include staples like Guinness, John Smith’s and Murphy’s, with rotating cask from local breweries noted by CAMRA.
First visit, came for a quick drink. Located in the centre of Sunderland. Modern smart vibe to the place. Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Pool table, darts and sports on screens. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Service was welcoming and helpful. Good place overall.
Nice pub, lots of seating and staff very friendly
Always loved this pub when it was Fitzgerald's... Serves my favorite pint (Titanic plum porter) nice and friendly bar staff
Loved this place. Great looking pub, with an olde world feel. Good beer selection and a very knowledgeable and friendly Manager. Will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Sunderland. Also thank you very much for the pump clips you gave me, very much appreciated. If I could give six 🌟, I would. Favourite place in Sunderland.
Been a frequent visitor for the last 20 years, service is always excellent with a lot of staff knowing their customers by name, love the chicken curry and chips!!!! (Update: Downside my most recent visit the fryers weren't working, but the jacket I had was still really nice!)
