📍 0.5 miles from St. James' Park
Right by Newcastle Central Station on Pink Lane, The Town Wall is an easy pre-match meet for travelling supporters. The pub screens sport (including major football tournaments on big screens), so you can catch early kick-offs or post-match highlights. The kitchen serves a full menu with stated hours through the week, handy for pre-game scran, and the bar carries a rotating range that regularly features local Wylam alongside quality guest breweries. With Newcastle widely welcoming away fans across city-centre pubs, The Town Wall works well as a neutral, convenient base before the walk up to St James’ Park.
Great place to meet up. We had a big group of work colleagues and the staff are attentive and rearranged tables and chairs for us to have. The potion of food was good. I Struggled to finish mine. And the prices were decent. The place was lively and we had a great time.
Very good pub a couple of minutes walk from Newcastle Central Station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. Quiet after the Spurs game at St James Park.
Great food, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Good beer selection.
Really enjoyed the vibe here. The bar is open, spacious, and has a few small side rooms that feel tucked away. It was totally dead when we stopped in around 3pm on a Monday, but the beer selection was great.
I was with a crew of 8 adults and 3 children and The Town Wall was really accommodating. The staff there are super friendly and it has a nice vibe in there. The Sunday dinner was good. Not the best in the world ever, but certainly worth the money we paid.
