Another fabulous venue visited whilst following the superb Giroscope. Great and very welcoming pub, very friendly atmosphere and people. Excellent sound quality for the performance. Parking was a bit difficult but eventually found a spot. Prices are reasonable and service very good. Couldn't comment on the food as never had any, just there for the band. Would highly recommend to everyone to check this place out.

Great atmosphere on a Saturday night. Background rock at the right level so it drowns out other people's conversations but you can still talk. Good Guinness at a decent price. Live music was good too - again, loud enough to rock, but not overpowering the whole pub.

Great bar, with quality beers n spirits. Great atmosphere from friendly staff and very often there's great bands. The Old Fox, Felling facebook page gives regular updates for the month, so there's no excuse to miss out on top entertainment with no ticket entry needed. Food is simply nice buns wuth various fillings and crisps, nuts etc if u get peckish. For anyone who's never been in -shame on you - it's not a huge bar where you feel lost. There's an excellent beer garden at the back which even has a warm cosy wood fire. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. There's also the Wheat Sheaf and Mallard pubs within a 2min walk if you wish to quickly venture. Felling metro and bus stops towards Heworth and Gateshead are also within that timeframe. During the day, Lisa's Delights next door offers hot food, so a day/night session could be a plan.

Old style pub from a time when soul-less bar franchises with over-priced beer didn't exist. Went there on Christmas eve, great atmosphere, full but no big crush at the bar, with a small brass band and carol singing included. Great night!

Dog friendly pub with a great selection of ales. They also serve Sunday dinner which is delicious. Fantastic live music on Saturdays and buskers on a Monday.
