Lovely scran! The 'Donald Rump' burger was really tasty with good quality meat. Steak in a burger doesn't go that well in my opinion because it takes a lot more chewing but the flavours won out. It was lacking a bit salad though for more texture and specifically missing some pickles! I usually ask for them to be added but I didn't see them on the menu at all so didn't worry about it. I was quite disappointed they didn't have pulled brisket to do the burger I went there for but that happens... Me and my partner shared some SFC Goujons but I pretty much had them all because she filled herself up with the halloumi fries. She thought they were excellent. The chicken was very nice but the dip it came with was too spicy for me. To complete my feast I had handcut chips which also went down a treat. Overall it was fantastic food at excellent value. The staff were pleasant but it's not really a very cosy environment to eat in. Fair play to them for putting up a solid food offering rather than relying on local drinkers though.
We went for dinner on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered two pizzas. The service was impeccable and the staff are some of the nicest, friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Such a lovely experience and the food was amazing, especially the chunky chips. We sat outside in the sunshine by the river. We return often and every time the service and food is outstanding. Also the prices are some of the cheapest around, best place to eat in Gateshead hands down!
Popped in today for a Friday pint and was positively impressed with this little pub. Good selection of beers, great service with very friendly and welcoming attitude and such a good prices. We’ve ordered nachos as a snack before our dinner at home and it was such a big portion we ended up too full to eat dinner. We will definitely be back ☺️
Went there on Sunday. I ordered Beef sunday dinner, other half the Smog on the Tyne Parmo and my mam got the hot beef sandwich. Plenty of shredded beef, yorkshire pudding spot on, everything nicely cooked, one of the best pub meals I've had. The others really enjoyed too. Good choice of craft beer and a nice venue. Clientelle was good and staff were friendly. Only downside was they ran out of red wine which is the other halfs first choice of drink. Overall we will definitely return.
Great food here, very comfortable and chilled place, the menu is very attractive and fairly priced, the quality is 10/10. Great service We'll be back ✅️
