Handy for matchdays if you’re coming by train or Metro — it’s about 0.37 miles from Central Station and 0.27 miles from Manors — so it works well as a meet-up before heading to St James’ Park. The kitchen serves daily with clearly stated hours, making it a reliable pre- or post-match food stop. As a brew-forward pub, it runs 10 cask handpulls plus 7 guest keg lines from well-known UK breweries, so groups can get a good variety of pints. Note that it isn’t a sports pub (no live sport shown), so it’s better suited to a calmer pre-game pint and bite rather than watching the match on TV.

A truly delicious Sunday Roast dinner! I’m glad we were recommended to visit here. Dog friendly with a 2 course meal available for your four legged friends. Our girl enjoyed her beef trimmings. Great aesthetics and super friendly staff.
Large 2 story seating area with a patio. Great beer choices and other beverages for those who don't want to have beer. Great for large and small groups.
5 Stars just isn't enough for this place. The Sunday Roast is the best I have ever eaten. ( sorry Mum ) but it was just divine. Omg, the Sticky Toffee pudding is a must...... followed closely by the Mango and Raspberry Eaton Mess. Enjoy peeps it's a must if your in Newcastle. 😋
Very nice ambiance. Food was excellent. Place fills up quite fast with people. Reservation can be in place.
Nice clean pub. Has an upstairs beer garden. Didn’t try the food, but has a good pint of Guinness.
