We had a fantastic evening at The Alchemist Salford Quays. The venue itself is amazing, with a great atmosphere and a unique setting that made it perfect for our group. A special mention goes to Sammy, our server, who was excellent throughout the evening. He was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and drinks menu, made some great recommendations, and was engaging and attentive without ever being intrusive. His service really enhanced the experience. The cocktails were outstanding – not only did they taste great, but the presentation was spectacular and added a real sense of theatre to the evening. Every drink felt like an experience in itself. The food was also very good value for money, with generous portions and plenty of choice. Most importantly, every member of our group enjoyed their meal, which is no small achievement when dining with a larger party! Overall, a brilliant experience from start to finish. Great venue, excellent service, fantastic cocktails, and good-quality food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning.
Just had a fab time! The food was top tier and the drinks were amazing, especially the 241 cocktail – great value too. Our server Eleanor was fantastic, super attentive and really made our experience special. The atmosphere was just right, and everything was spotless. Can’t wait to come back!
Booked a table for four to celebrate my 40th birthday last Saturday 30. The drinks were delicious and looked amazing, and the service was outstanding. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it.
After years of walking past The Alchemist in Manchester and being drawn in by the intriguing décor, I was visiting Manchester, and we just had to go! We'd hoped to snag one of the outdoor tables, but they were fully booked, but doesn't matter, because the dimly lit interior turned out to be ideal for a date night. All moody lighting and intimate corners, it's the sort of place where you actually want to linger. The evening took a fun turn when we secretly ordered cocktails for each other. My partner surprised me with the Hipflask Sloe-Jam, which came with a brilliant twist: keep the actual flask as a souvenir or get a free refill. I went for the flask, what better memento from a great night out? The Chicken Katsu Curry was perfectly decent, but nothing to write home about. The katsu sauce was the thickest I've had anywhere, though there wasn't quite enough of it, leaving the rice a touch dry. The Chocolate Cookie S'Moores, however, absolutely delivered, not overly sweet, with the torched marshmallow adding just the right texture and flavour. But let's be honest, the drinks are the real reason to visit. After dessert, we stayed at the bar and worked our way through several more cocktails. Each one was inventive, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. Didn't take any pictures as we're enjoying the night to the fullest.
Good place for cocktails but a bit pricey but the views outside are brilliant and heated patio. Staff lovely and very attentive. Drinks tasted good but very small would defo like more .
