About this Pub

Piccadilly Tap

Why it's great for Matchdays

Right outside Manchester Piccadilly Station in Gateway House, the Piccadilly Tap is a convenient meet-up for travelling supporters. Fan guides list it among away-friendly city-centre pubs, making it a safe pre-match choice. From here, the Metrolink runs direct to the Etihad Campus for Manchester City fixtures, so it’s easy to get to the ground after a pint. The bar serves freshly made pizza (useful for lining the stomach before kick-off) and even has a “Train Beers” take-away fridge for cans and bottles if you’re heading to or from the match by rail.

Nice place near the station. Good for a quick pint. Service is a bit lack lustre. I think they see alot of people in for 1 drink and then they go so not much attention is placed on the service. But hey, nice pints and the terrace upstairs is mint for people watching.

Argyle on tour! An excellent choice for pre match drinks.....once we found it !! Mixed directions on Google. It's only just off Piccadilly Station. Plenty of unusual craft beers and lagers to choose from. No food, just a drinking pub and obviously was a favourite of many judging by the continual flow of trade. Lots of Argyle and City fans mostly mature , with no idiots, all having a great time. It's got an upstairs as well with a balcony which looks out onto a busy, busy, vibrant street. A couple of City fans guided us through a magical "local " route to the Etihad.....quite bizarre !!

A great little boozer for any beer lovers who are catching/waiting for a train. Rather than sit in a burger joint, enjoy an excellent pint in a friendly pub atmosphere.

So I was in Town Picking up my Mrs from Piccadilly station after a business meeting in Oxford and I got there a little bit early so as I was walking up the station approach I stumbled across the Piccadilly tap so I decided to wet my whistle. I walked in and headed straight to the bar and I ordered a pint of IPA(I can't remember the name) but service was friendly enough, Great pint i paid £5.50(You can pay cash or card), Chilled out relaxed atmosphere mixture of working class to office types, There is outside seating aswell internal seating. Pint was very nice and very hoppy and was well served and the bar was clean and tidy, Polite and friendly staff. Great experience, Great pint and a stone throw from Piccadilly station. Me and my Wife post alot of reviews on Google and we always give out honest opinion and feedback on everything from service, value for money, cleanliness, customer service, ambience etc. We have reviewed everything from being at a pub/restaurants near our home in Manchester to football stadiums, Beauty treatments, Beach clubs, Hotels, Airbnbs, Flights etc. From Manchester to Split(Croatia), Supetar(Brac, Croatia), Hvar(Croatia), Rome(Italy), Vatican City(Rome), Bezier Cap de' agde(South Of France), Podgorica(Montenegro), Budva(Montenegro), Tirana(Albania), Sarande(Albania), Ksamil(Albania), Krakow(Poland), Zakopane(Poland) and in a few weeks we are off to Cape Verde. We currently have nearly 32,000,000+ views on Google alone. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆
