About this Pub

The Piccadilly Tavern

Why it's great for Matchdays

City-centre and close to Manchester Piccadilly station, Piccadilly Tavern is an established meet-up for visiting supporters heading to Old Trafford or the Etihad. Brentford’s official away-day guides explicitly say the Piccadilly Tavern near Piccadilly station welcomes away fans, with advice to drink in the city centre. Inside, the pub shows live sport (including football) with Sky and TNT Sports across multiple screens, creating a ‘big match’ atmosphere, and it serves hot food all day—handy for fuelling up before jumping on the tram from Piccadilly to the grounds.

It’s a spacious, clean environment, it’s not as rowdy as some places can be at lunchtime. We were not rushed along to eat and go neither like some places. They took into consideration the booking special request I had asked for too, the food was presented & tasted so nice, for a cheap price as well. It’s well worth the money & not a tacky place. My dad was 80 years old that day and he loves nothing more than a pub lunch, especially in these less rowdy environments, where you can take your time spend time with family and enjoy the food, drinks and environment. We will definitely be back.

Piccadilly Tavern has such a great atmosphere, lively but still comfortable, with a really friendly vibe that makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The service was quick and cheerful, and the whole place has that classic pub charm. We tried a mix of food and drinks, and everything was spot on. The steak was cooked really well, the pie was hearty and full of flavour, and all the nibbles were perfect for sharing. The beer selection is great too, with plenty of choices and good prices. Overall, it’s a brilliant spot for casual drinks, tasty pub food, and a relaxed night out. Definitely a place we’d go back to!

First time across the pond and having a fantastic 24 hours thus far. Wanted a proper breakfast and stumbled into here. Did not disappoint. £4.25 for that hearty breakfast. Very nice, historic type pub with happy patrons enjoying their pints. Looking forward to the next day 10 days in the UK

The food is especially delicious. I’ve never had chicken tikka but this definitely set the bar as far as flavor goes !
