About this Pub

The Peveril of the Peak

Why it's great for Matchdays

Classic city-centre option a short walk from major transport: CAMRA notes it’s ~400m from Manchester Oxford Road station and ~450m from St Peter’s Square Metrolink. From nearby Deansgate-Castlefield/St Peter’s Square you can ride Metrolink trams directly to Old Trafford (Altrincham line) and to Etihad Campus with frequent services, so getting to either ground is quick on matchdays. FootballGroundGuide lists the Peveril among recommended city-centre pubs on the Etihad tram line and adds that city-centre pubs are welcoming to away fans on matchdays—making this a neutral pre-game meet spot before hopping on the tram to the stadium.

Fantastic bar in the city. It has been run by an Irish landlady for decades. Very busy with folk from all walks of life. There is also a pool table. Stunning tiling on outside and numerous rooms inside. Essentially a great boozer.

Truly great spot. Stop to check out the old pictures, great tile work. Solid windows. Wonder for sure as there are multiple rooms. I happened to be there around 430 so many ppl off work were randomly drinking on the street or sidewalk.

This pub is amazing! The staff are super friendly, there are lots of different seating areas and a great pool table. The Guinness is creamy and smooth! A great spot just a few minutes walk from Oxford Road station, if you haven't been yet, you must visit! A real traditional pub feel!

Beautiful, classic, vintage pub. Tiny spaces so it gets pretty rammed! Decent pint of landlord. Worth a visit for sure.
