Stamford Bridge is about a five-minute walk from The Rose, so it’s an easy pre-match base before Chelsea home games. Local coverage recommends it for pre-match pints and reasonably priced food, and CAMRA notes it gets crowded on Chelsea matchdays—so you can expect a lively home-fan atmosphere. With a full food menu served at lunch and dinner, it’s straightforward to grab a proper meal before heading to the turnstiles.
Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. Food was terrific. Drinks were also unique and well made. Don't forget to save room for deserts.
The service was amazing here today, we managed to get a seat in the garden area on a lovely sunny day and had this lovely lady with very cool pitch work arm tattoos serve us. She even put us on to the artist that did them, it’s so nice to have real life exchanges with people while they’re at work!!
A bit quiet when we went but it's Easter weekend on a Saturday night. Staff were great, good service, had a bit of chat and the food was excellent. Plenty of offers on through the week and we'll be back to try the Sunday roast sometime soon. Fish and chips was particularly excellent, firm but cooked perfectly and with a lovely batter. Squid starter was also great (I'm told) nicely cooked chunks of squid if that's your thing.
We stopped to have dinner due our Airbnb being around the corner. Food was ok to be honest not what I was expecting.
This pub is gorgeous. The main art deco/twenties modernist space is really well kept and a delight throughout the year, with plentiful natural light. The garden is popular year-round, with well cared-for plants. We had drinks and no food, but they were reasonably priced (for the area!) and the London Pride was crystal clear and delicious.
