For a pre- or post-match stop, this Chelsea pub serves proper meals (lunch, evening food and noted Sunday roasts) and keeps real ale on the bar. CAMRA lists Adnams Broadside and Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter as regulars, while the pub's own site posts current menus and roasts. It's also straightforward to reach on matchdays: WhatPub notes nearby bus routes plus South Kensington Underground and Imperial Wharf Overground within walking distance, making it a convenient meet-up before heading to (or back from) Stamford Bridge. There's no clear evidence it's a designated home/away supporters' pub or that it shows live sport, but for fans wanting good beer and solid food with easy transport links, it fits the bill.
The Pig’s Ear delivered as always! The mix of game and local produce makes for an amazing recipe for great food. Kitty and Charlotte were great and eager to share their knowledge about the local wines. The food could have been a tad more refined to really be a home run. The Pate en croute was quite rough and a bit unappetising because the chunks were too big. The lamb croquettes and the scotch eggs were a smidge dry but great nonetheless. The sourdough was really dry and close to being stale which was quite a shame. But most of these slight disappointments could be seen as a fluke because the previous visit was faultless. The pudding was amazing, especially the rhubarb. And the British wines were a delight.
The Pig’s Ear in Chelsea serves quality roasts in a relaxed, airy setting. Both the chicken and lamb were tender and well-cooked, with sides that stood out just as much. The space feels welcoming, light-filled, and comfortable, matched by genuinely friendly service. Quietly rated: worth stopping.
If you're looking for a top tier experience for both food and drinks, The Pigs Ear in Chelsea is a must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff made the experience truly special, with Ollie at the bar crafting an incredible cocktail that was the perfect start to my meal. The cocktail was beautifully balanced and refreshing, showing real skill and care. Hayley, who took care of me in the restaurant, was both lovely and polite. Her attention to detail and kind nature added an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The entire team were incredibly friendly, and it was clear they genuinely cared about providing a great experience. Now, let’s talk about the food. I had the roast dinner, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavours were rich, with perfectly cooked meat and beautifully paired trimmings. The presentation was just as impressive, with a gorgeous plate of food that tasted as good as it looked. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. The combination of incredible food, expertly made cocktails, and exceptional service made for a truly welcoming and memorable time. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend!
Food was fantastic. Ambience was lovely. Alaina was such a great host! Very rare you feel like you know a waiter but she did a great job!
Absolutely amazing experience, a MUST go. Ollie, the bartender was super attentive and lovely. Great recommendations, don’t miss the scallop, the daily pie, the deer croquettes. I dine out a lot, and this was the gastronomic highlight of this holiday food tour. Also, the space is cozy, lots of locals. Go!!
