Listed by Football Ground Guide as an away-fan option for Stamford Bridge, The Blackbird is a practical pre-match meet-up in Earl’s Court. It’s roughly a 15–25 minute walk to Chelsea’s stadium and sits by Earl’s Court tube, making the hop to Fulham Broadway straightforward. The pub notes it gets very busy on Chelsea match days, so you can expect atmosphere, and if you’re not heading to the ground they screen live football inside. With food served daily (early from 08:00), it also works for early kick-offs before making the short journey to the Bridge.
The Blackbird and Fullers Pub were wonderful! We stayed four nights and were very comfortable. The food was amaizing and lots to choose from along with drinks of all sorts. We stayed in the Hitchcock Room on the top floor. It was private, large comfortable bed and a great shower. The staff are extremely accommodating and super nice! We will stay here again next time we are in London.
Great location, cool scene. Rooms are small but you can't beat the location and the pub below makes eating accessible and easy. The breakfast that is included is incredible, bot continental and a full hot breakfast. Really well done. The pub crew made room for us at dinner even during a busy time knowing we were hotel guests.
The hotel is conveniently located across the Earl’s Court tube station. The room was the only one on the floor and was both cosy and quiet, with a lovely view. Breakfast is ordered from a menu with a small buffet in addition, and was pleasant both days. I would definitely return.
Had a lovely relaxed stay here from start to finish. Great location so close to the tube station, warm friendly welcome and allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. Super clean and comfortable had everything we needed. Complimentary drink at the bar was a nice gesture too. Enjoyed a few drinks in the bar. Breakfast was very tasty with good options. All staff we had contact with were very attentive and friendly. The Blackbird was such a good find and would highly recommend it as a place to stay. We would love to return. Thank You for the warm welcome
I had such a wonderful experience dining here. This was my third visit to London. I never have a hard time finding gluten free foods to eat. This stay was a bit challenging. Most restaurants in the area said they didn't offer gluten free items when I went in. Fed up, starving and feeling defeated. I decided to go into The Blackbird. I was presented with an Electronic Menu with a Allergen Filter. I was able to view and select gluten free items only. I chose the Admiral’s fish pie. It was so delicious! I came back the next night and had it again. For dessert there was a gluten free Warm Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream, or a Miniature Chocolate Brownie with a hot drink of your choice.
