📍 1.6 miles from Craven Cottage
A backstreet local in Hammersmith’s Brackenbury Village, The Andover Arms suits fans who want a calmer pre- or post-match stop with proper sit-down food rather than a TV-sports pub. The pub highlights restaurant-style menus (à la carte, Sunday/seasonal), so it’s reliable for a meal on matchdays. If you’re heading to Fulham, the Football Ground Guide notes that away supporters typically pack the riverside pubs nearer Putney and Craven Cottage; Andover Arms offers a quieter alternative in nearby Hammersmith with a varied beer line-up evidenced by recent check-ins (e.g., Peroni, Beavertown Neck Oil, Fuller’s Gale’s Seafarers, Veltins).
My son arranged a disjointed family gathering in the pub, 11 of us in total including two children and a toddler I live in W12 but this is the first time I have been to the Andover Arms, the pub is cosy and not as large as say the Princess Vic which is at the end of my road. The food was great, the atmosphere great the staff attentive and amazing, felt sorry for the young lad ironing the cotton napkins, and also bumped in to an old friend and the pub was packed, it seems like a great hidden pub for locals, will return. The icing on the cake was bumping in to Santa Claus as I bought him a half pint of Pride so if your presents arrived late or broken then it's my fault ;o))))
My first time visiting for a festive meal in the private room at the back. What an absolute gem! Beautiful Christmas decorations with handmade place and menu cards. A festive table set with a wonderful cross stitch tablecloth. Lots of personal little touches. The setting felt like something from a Christmas movie! The food from the Christmas menu tasted delicious with good portion sizes. Staff were attentive and friendly. A fabulous experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend.
A great local pub, part of the Fuller's group. The Andover Arms, possibly on Aldensley Street or maybe Cardross Street, north Hammersmith anyway is a lovely find. Great beer, a lovely atmosphere and a quirky pub to boot. A lovely cold pint of Veltins was enjoyed. Great place!
Without a doubt one of the best pubs in London. The most incredibly lovely staff and atmosphere that make a couple of drinks or a meal here absolutely fantastic. 10/10 recommend to anyone, the food is exceptional and the drinks equally so. The best part about this pub other than the food and friendly locals is the staff. They make coming here the best experience and all deserve much more credit!!!
Wonderful homey pub with excellent staff. The talented chefs make miracles in the tiny kitchen/closet. The Sunday roast was amazing. Lamb rump with roasted veg and a house made mint sauce that is simply perfect. The jamon iberico croquetas and the gazpacho (a new addition to the menu) were absolutely delicious, as well. A true hidden gem.
