About this Pub

The Thomas Frost – JD Wetherspoon

Why it's great for Matchdays

On matchdays it’s a reliable, neutral meeting spot close to both Goodison Park and Anfield. Guides list it for away supporters and describe a mixed crowd, with police guidance and club travel pages confirming home and away fans are admitted. It’s around a 10–15 minute walk to Goodison and is reported to get very busy on match days, making it a convenient pre-/post-match pint with large capacity. The venue also welcomes visiting supporters and shows televised sport, useful if you’re catching early/late kick-offs before heading to the ground.

Chanced upon this place while trying to look for something else. Probably the cheapest breakfast out there with reasonable portion and great service. The waitress was friendly and checked in on us mid-meal. We chanced upon another outlet at the city centre and just had to have dinner there too, though the prices are cheaper here. Would definitely return if our schedule permits

Well what can I say about this place, I'm by no means a prude, and own a bar but perhaps a word is required with staff. On the day of our visits 25th May 2026 there was a member of staff (dressed in a black vest top & her hair in a bun) let's just say her language could have made a docker blush. We had wondered why a spoons in close the football stadiums to be busy at lunch time on Bank Holiday Monday, perhaps this explains why it was quiet. The other members of staff were polar opposite and the food was delicious, it's amazing how one person can alter the entire visit

Our local Wetherspoon's, girl who served us with blonde hair always happy. Went in for curry club to try the new fish and prawn curry, food came quick was nice and hot but one of the poppadoms looks like it had been dropped or miss handled as was only half of one. Not worth complaining about though as it's a one off. It's very busy in here and tables are sometimes hard to find. The noise level is mid to high and you will get people vaping at their seats.

Wetherspoons in the center of Liverpool near Lime Street station, it was very busy and we did have difficulty in finding a table for 8 of us. Staff were friendly and the food was of good standard. There was also a beer garden for those wanting to eat outdoors

It's really popular, as the prices are amicable... Staff should smile alittle bit more.... But definitely a place to visit drinks cold and the foods hot.
