About this Pub

Westow Tap

Why it's great for Matchdays

The pub has screened live football—including the Euros—on an outdoor screen, making it a viable matchday viewing spot. It serves a full menu (e.g., burgers and sides) and lists kitchen hours, so fans can eat pre- or post-match. It’s also practical for travel on matchdays: WhatPub notes Gipsy Hill rail station is about 600 m away and Crystal Palace Overground is ~750 m, plus numerous bus routes at Crystal Palace Parade—useful for getting to and from games.

Really enjoyed my visit here. The Team were gorgeous and the good was just great. Those burgers are to die for. So many to choose! Some great beers on Tap and all served in a nice environment. The 80s retro games were a cute touch too. The perfect venue to start the night in Crystal Palace!

Used to be one of my favourite pubs in Crystal Palace but seems like the management has changed and the pub has changed for worse. I booked a birthday/engagement party two months in advance yet when I arrived on my birthday, there was no sign of the booking, none of the tables were reserved with other people sitting in them. I had even received an email the day before to confirm my booking but nothing was done. The area was doubled booked for later that day and I was told to move into a different area in the evening because the team had screwed up my booking. I was so unimpressed with how this was dealt with. Such a shame as I used to visit the pub regularly but this level of ineptitude is unacceptable really as I did not want to spend my birthday arguing about a reservation that should’ve been a simple thing to organise considering the two month lead time. I was also told that supposedly the other booking for the specific space in the back was made before my booking which I find incredibly hard to believe as the previous manager had kindly confirmed my booking for the space which I don’t think he would’ve done if there was a pre existing booking in place. In addition to inconveniencing my 30 guests, they kept moving other people around because they hadn’t booked the correct tables which clearly bothered the other groups too. None of the tables also were cleaned when I arrived and when I asked for simple reservation signs to be put in tables, they didn’t even do this correctly as they reserved the tables only for the later double booking so random groups kept wandering into the booking area and sitting down where my guests were meant to sit. All the tables were covered in crumbs and stains from other people’s drinks. My guests also pointed this out and were pretty horrified by the bad service. In short: this was an absolute disastrous showcase of customer service and there was no proper apology. I hate to give bad reviews but this was utterly shocking and I won’t be visiting in the future.

This has always been one of the best pubs on the triangle, but wow!. The food is amazing. The pop up Yagi Izakaya is astonishing. The good sas so good I didn't take photos until we had eaten it.

5* lovely staff, food, view We had our daughter’s first birthday here earlier today and can’t rate this venue high enough. The staff are extremely accommodating, the food was delicious and we had our own space for children to play. Will be back! Thank you for having us!!

Stumbled across this pub just looking for a drink and a quick bite to eat. The selection of on tap beers are awesome and a special shout out to them having a gluten free beer on tap. The food is a Brazilian menu and had an outstanding plant burger (which the bar staff kindly offered with real cheese). The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the playlist is awesome and at a volume that allows a conversation. There is also a great looking garden area that I fully intend to come back and try at length when the sun shows.
