Spontaneously visited the Bridge House after a full day of travel. The place was very cute and decorated for the holidays. The food was incredibly delicious too- I got a bangers & mash and my husband got the fish & chips. I truly enjoyed my bangers & mash, the bangers were cooked perfectly, the mash was so creamy & the onion rings were a nice addition. My husband also enjoyed his fish & chips and the pints we ordered were delicious, as per the bartender’s recommendations. Great place!!!
Love this place. Love that it is dog friendly, it is an airy pub and the food has got better recently. This is a spacious pub with fantastic decor inside and out. You have the choice of three different seating areas including outside. The pub is really well decorated with lights and drawings that add to the ambience. It is a good pub to pop into when it is hot because it is airy and spacious. However it is also good in winter because there are cosy areas of the pub. The food is much better than a few years back. There baguettes using brioche baguettes are delicious. But could do with a little more moisture. The chicken salad is to die for my friend and I are still dreaming of it. The staff could smile a bit more. I found them a little lack lustre.
Meal before seeing a great play in the theatre above the pub. Emailed food preferences (avoiding gluten, vegan or vegetarian), had a lovely helpful reply and even better attentiveness when we got there. The food was excellent and exactly what we required Drinks were really good too. I tried a cocktail and it was excellent. Really friendly atmosphere. We'd definitely go again.
Great place to meet with friends. Love the community theatre too. Great hub at the centre of the community. A lot of activities happen here, from live music, to theme parties and Drag Quiz nights. Often packed with local people who enjoy great selection of drinks but also the food. I like the decor inside. The area at the back is a vast outdoor seating space. I really appreciate this local space and like going there when ai can. I try to stop for a meal or at least a drink before going to the theater venue that is in the same space. Thank you all for working hard to make this place a success that it is.
