Good for catching televised matches: listings note Sky Sports, and the venue promotes big-screen coverage of major tournaments. It’s also a short walk from Bayswater and Royal Oak Underground stations in Bayswater, making it an easy, central-west London base to meet up and watch games on TV if you don’t have tickets or are passing through the area on matchdays.
No matter what they serve me! I will eat. It’s that simple. Amazing young chef. And unbelievable staff. All serving that with small details oriented mindset and with a London smile. I have been visiting the last two nights for dinner and chat. I had the fish and chips and it was comfort food. I don’t know what would they have third time is a charm? 😂 I’m going there tonight too. I want you to focus on the “slow cooked beef” here ok? sounds boring to you huh? this is my experience of yesterday! It was my first time eating “slow cooked beef” so After I finish it I had the “urge” to have a tea with the King. I’m visiting London for holidays and I’m not even from here. Immediately left after dinner wandering around London though the king might be passing. 🤣 I feel sorry for the leftover. Didn’t know what is the take home policy. 🤣. But I was in for tea anyway. 😂 Honestly exceptional dinner. I don’t know what to say about The Porchester. Great people. Great place to be while in London. Peace. ✌️.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect historic stopover before the train! Visiting all the way from Wilmington, NC, we were thrilled to stumble upon this absolute gem! We ducked into The Porchester to grab a bite while waiting for our train from Paddington Station, and it turned out to be a highlight of our day. The pub sits in a wonderfully vibrant, handsome neighborhood with deep historical roots; the surrounding Bayswater and Paddington areas transformed from quiet rural hamlets into fashionable Victorian residential districts in the 19th century, heavily spurred by Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s iconic design of nearby Paddington Station in the 1850s. The pub itself brilliantly mirrors that classic London heritage with its beautiful exterior, traditional architectural layout, and relaxed neighborhood vibe. The food here was truly exceptional, and as a massive fan of British pub classics, I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the Scotch egg—it was perfectly executed with a golden, crisp exterior and incredibly flavorful filling. Combined with great drinks and top-tier service, it is the ultimate atmospheric spot to unwind, whether you are locals exploring the neighborhood or travelers passing through the station. A flawless London pub experience!
Lovely bar and restaurant. Nice vibe. Friendly staff and good service. The food was excellent especially the Sunday toast. Booking essential for weekends and festive public holidays.
One of my favourite pubs for pub quiz. Nice ambience, lots of space, great service and good food. I noticed they have some board games too. Look forward to returning!
Outstanding service with tasteful decor. Everything clean and tidy, the staff work hard to provide this excellent experience. I didn't eat, but the food looked outstanding. Definitely on my next visit, possibly the following week. I will update with the pictures and comments then. Truly outstanding, highly recommended.
