About this Pub

Prince Alfred
CAMRA/WhatPub notes unobtrusive screens for sports TV and that terrestrial channels are used for selected events such as World Cups—handy if you want to catch tournament football without a full-on sports-bar vibe. The listing also shows the pub is just 170m from Warwick Avenue Underground and about 1.1km from Paddington, making it an easy pre/post-match meet with fast transport links across London. The pub’s official site provides full menus and long kitchen hours (Mon–Sat to 10pm; Sun to 9pm), useful for lining up before kick-off or grabbing a roast after the game. Beer-wise, CAMRA lists cask Young’s London Original with rotating guests, and Pub Gallery highlights popular lagers/craft like Peroni, Pravha and Neck Oil—good for mixed groups on a matchday.

This unique gem, established in 1856, is housed in a magnificent building with beautiful windows, wood trim, leather sofas, and green tiles. It's located near Warwick Avenue tube station. A fantastic place to visit and enjoy good food and classic beers. I highly recommend it.

Great food, in a stunning pub. Fantastic beer on tap from British microbreweries (inc. DEYA). Service was slow for how busy it was, but no major issues.

I love this pub. The eclectic internal walls. The friendly staff. The beautiful food. Too much Prince Alfred is barely enough.

Cannot recommend this beautiful pub enough, especially for vegan options. I've been a few times over the years, but my first as a vegan and the choice of dishes - all courses is so so good - and the food is next level pub :D The atmosphere and the staff were so attentive, knowledgable and joyful! Just the best place to spend a cosy fall night - 10 out 10 for vegan and everyone else basically. SB
