A couple of minutes' walk from Turf Moor, The Turf promotes live football on TV and lists TNT Sports, making it a convenient spot for pre- or post-match pints around Burnley fixtures. Fan listings also mark it as a live-sport venue. Visiting-supporter guidance specifically advises away fans to avoid The Turf on Yorkshire Street, indicating it's primarily a home-fan pub on matchdays. Recent check-ins show familiar matchday brands on the taps and in fridges. For Clarets fans, its proximity to the ground and live-sport screens make it a practical base before heading to the turnstiles or for catching televised games before/after the match.
The Turf has a lovely atmosphere. You can charge your phone here as well.
almost a fiver for a pint of guiness? a quid for a game of pool? what, is this london? New owner being greedy much? ill take 4 steps and go next door to the royle dyche where sanity prevails and get the same for half the price.
Really nice boozer, good atmosphere and good space in the pub for football, karaoke etc. nice pool table in the corner (needs re clothing however) the outdoor area is wicked too. In particular Billy behind the bar always offers great service and goes out of his way to make sure we’re happy whenever we go. The default cues for the pool table need replacing, but when available there’s a wicked cue available, this used to be left our regularly but for some reason is now on request…
Great time, music inside and out. Robbie Williams then Queen tributes inside, very good but the speakers were much too loud, couldn't hear anything the day after our ears hurt so much. The selection of acts outside were good and the music level was better. The beer was good and all in the correct and cold glasses.
Was my first time visit and had a good pint of Stout and at the time was the only customer in and was made very welcome by josie behind the bar who chatted nice and freely. Definitely a good place for a pint or two
