📍 0.4 miles from Turf Moor
It's a 10-minute walk to Turf Moor and explicitly described as suitable for away fans, making it an easy pre-match meetup spot. It's a recognised matchday haunt in Burnley, so you can expect a lively football crowd. The pub shows football on TV, which helps if you're catching early or late kick-offs around your game. They serve food (with stated meal times and a 'decent, varied food menu'), useful for lining up before heading to the ground. The venue also tailors hours around Burnley home fixtures (opening earlier on some midweek matchdays), and carries a deep beer selection that appeals to travelling fans looking for quality pints before or after the match.
I'm not a drinker these days but I throughly recommend this place for the delicious homemade food and amazing range of beers, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I ate the homemade cheese and onion pie (which contains a Mexican cheese for an interesting note) which comes with creamy mash (or chips), mushy peas and gravy. A hearty meal. Washed down with a stunning Paulaner 0% (fresh, biscuity taste). Landlord and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is chilled (on non-match days and non-band nights!) Get out and support great indie pubs like this.
Great Pub, visited on holiday. Parked on multistory over the road. Friendly Hosts and Regulars, Ruby doing the rounds regularly 🐶. Fans visit during ⚽ season Staff gave Positive feedback about it. Five to Ten minute walk to Turfmoor for ⚽.
Fantastic pub. Great choice of beers & food. Great prices. Only a few minutes walk from Burnley Mechanics Theatre - great find
Very good pub if you're a fan of 'proper' beer. Very good selection of Belgian beers that aren't at completely eye-watering prices. Atmosphere is good and staff are friendly. It does get busy and loud at weekends though ... I can't, in good conscience, knock a star off for that though just because it not 'my' thing.
Very good Burnley pub. Five cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I last visited including a mild. Not too busy after the Spurs game at Turf Moor.
