About this Pub

Big Window

Why it's great for Matchdays

A central Burnley pub on Manchester Road, The Big Window is set up for matchdays with numerous screens and projectors and is described as a major football-watching spot. An away fan (West Ham) reported visiting pre-match and found the pub friendly, with plenty of TVs showing Sky Sports. Early opening hours (from 9am most days) make it useful for early kick-offs. Overall, its town-centre location, live-sports focus, and reports of away supporters using it point to a mixed, neutral atmosphere that works for both home and visiting fans on matchday.

Refused service because I had a pram with a 2 month old baby 😂 didn’t believe me the baby wouldn’t be drinking. Absolute dive and the blokes behind the bar were absolute jobs worths. Luckily some nicer pubs around the corner which were welcoming. Avoid this pub at all costs

Very lively town centre pub with cheap beer (including 3-4 real ales). This place is very popular in the daytime (even during the week). Large screens allow visitors to watch sports and karaoke is a regular source of entertainment at this venue.

Decent Burnley pub about 10 minutes walk from Manchester Road Station. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited - £2.40 a pint! Lots of TV screens showing a variety of different sports.

Was in there earlier. Had a game of pool near the bar. Mentioned that it smealt of piss near end of pool table. My brother and his son also found it really bad. Mentioned it to the bar stafff:- she shrugged her shoulders. Vile. The pool table is no where near the toilets. Someone had obviously just let one go and the team at the window not cleaned up. Stong Stale piss smell. Not good :(
