Close to Aston station and Lichfield Road, it's an easy pre- or post-match stop for Villa Park via rail (short walk from Aston station). Inside, the pub shows live sport with Sky Sports/TNT Sports on big screens, so you can catch early kick-offs or other games around your fixture. Note that CAMRA reports food is served daily except on match days—useful to plan if you're looking mainly for drinks before the game.

This pub has some lovely historic features, but little else sadly.
Classic Victorian pub with an outside toilet across a covered yard. Main income comes when b6 are at home, there is a room for real ales and then there is a bar and a lounge. The staff are fantastic so pop in for a beer.

The food is amazing, my husband had the fish goujons, I had the plant based burger, best one I've ever had and my daughter has the chicken goujons with the hottest hot sauce she has ever had. Tim who works there is so lovely and accommodating. Plus love the music, it's all Brummy artist's, UB40 playing, my fav. Will definitely be coming again.
Another fine traditional proper boozer with lots of character. Staff are top drawer. Best place on a villa match day
