Lovely pub in the Jewellery Quarter. Traditional with lots of lovely features. Came here Saturday afternoon as a group of 9 (5 adults and 4 children). Lovely, friendly lady behind the bar who served us. The kids wanted a snack so we ordered some chips for them. This place only loses a star because we waited over half an hour for the chips and they were quite oily. A great pint and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely pop in here if you are in the area!
True, unique and irreplaceable gem. Stunning building inside and out. Over hundred years old, luckily, a listed building now. Magnificent attention to architectural detail and interior design. Super quirky, warm, inviting and relaxing space where you witnes unparalleled craftsmanship. One in a million.
I recently visited the pub and had an outstanding experience thanks to the brilliant team behind the bar—Kate, Tim, and Hannah. Each of them brought something special to the atmosphere, and together they made the visit genuinely memorable. Kate was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She has that perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, making everyone feel right at home while keeping everything running smoothly. Tim was incredibly attentive, quick to serve, and always seemed one step ahead of what guests needed. His easygoing attitude and efficiency added a real spark to the evening. Hannah brought great energy to the room with her upbeat personality and thoughtful service. She checked in at the right times, made great recommendations, and kept the mood lively. Overall, the service from all three was excellent—prompt, cheerful, and delivered with genuine care. They helped create a relaxed, enjoyable environment that makes you want to return. A fantastic team that truly elevates the pub experience.
Popped in spur of the moment late Saturday afternoon....so glad we did. Lovely pub with traditional features, great atmosphere, super friendly & efficient staff. Nice range of cocktails, we accidentally spilled a shot glass on the table top, no sooner did we ask for some cleaning towel, it was done, cleaned and dried with a replacement shot provided! Our first, but definitely not our last visit
