I traveled to Birmingham for 24 hours for a Villa match while on my way elsewhere in Europe for a business trip, and everything was superb. Location was a short walk to the stadium, the accommodations were top notch, and the service was above and beyond. I don't use the word "charming" often, but as an American who stays in cookie-cutter chain hotels, this was the most charming accommodation I've ever stayed at. The room was beautiful and having a thriving pub downstairs for pre/post-game was the best. Would absolutely stay here again.
My partner booked us a room here for a night away. The bar was beautiful with so much charm. The rooms was lovely and clean with big beds and beautiful bathrooms. The breakfast was amazing, I had a full English breakfast which came out on a huge plate I couldn’t even finish it!! Lots of continental options. Was a bit noisy when we checked in but it seemed to quiet down after 7pm. The night porter harison was supper helpful, sorted us taxis and was super friendly. The breakfast staff was amazing and breakfast didn’t take to long. Couldn’t recommend it more if you are looking for a nice charming evening away with your partner!
Stayed overnight after a visit to Aston villa. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel bars were very busy so there was security on the door. The doormen were very nice and friendly. There was a great atmosphere. Check in was very efficient despite the staff being busy. Breakfast was excellent. Can't find any fault. All staff were brilliant.
I've been to different parts of the world and UK but only in this tavern where I felt that I was robbed. It was written outside 7 pounds inclusive food. There were prepared food at the counter, but they said that they were not covered. Their wifi was not working as well. This is located in a not so nice neighborhood, but it is near the Aston Villa Stadium. No wonder why there are more stalls outside that sell cheaper food and drinks. I felt robbed, indeed. If you intend to watch football, there are parking places worth 7-12 pounds. Keep away from this place. 7 pounds just for an entrance fee.
Immaculate room, genuine staff, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Perfect pairing to our hospitality tickets at Villa Park, just a few minutes walk to the ground.
