The Roost is a renowned pre-match gathering spot for Birmingham City FC supporters, located just a short walk from St Andrew's stadium. Its proximity makes it a convenient choice for fans looking to enjoy the matchday atmosphere. The pub has hosted notable figures such as NFL legend Tom Brady and musician Ed Sheeran, highlighting its popularity among fans and celebrities alike. The venue's lively environment, complete with DJs and a jukebox, contributes to its reputation as a vibrant fan hub. Additionally, the pub has received positive reviews for its welcoming staff and lively post-match celebrations, further cementing its status as a fan-favorite location.
Love The Roost. It's a spacious sports bar with multiple big screen TV's showing Sky Sports. It has loads of outdoor covered seating and a large pool room. It mainly used by us Birmingham City fans and does have multiple Birmingham City FC flags and pictures dotted around the place. There's a fab Peaky Blinders silhouette on the wall in the beer garden. I'm not sure who goes in there when there isn't a game on. Price wise it was very reasonable.
Fantastic atmosphere, the DJ is absolutely brilliant. He knows his stuff, his vuvuzela transitions are simply stunning. Staff is very good and lovely, and beer prices are very fair too.
Located near St Andrews Stadium this is one of the main, if not the main pub for Home fans on a match day. Adorned with Birmingham City decor, it's clear that if you're an away fan this isn't the place for you. Big screen and an outside area for watching other games. Beer prices as you would expect and a dart board for the 2 teams that play there.
I've been going the roost since the first time my old man took me to the the blues. Im in there at every opportunity, all through the kev flem years, using football as an analogy the roost is like 1970s Brazil and all other pubs are like Cowdenbeath. One thing is for sure, no one has heard of chris freeman in the roost.
Can't give high en praise for making Coventry City fans so very welcome. Could do with Stella or San Miguel on draught, but I'm not complaining, far from it, thank you.
