📍 0.6 miles from Emirates Stadium
Classic pre-match Arsenal pub next to Finsbury Park station (~100m), so it's an easy meet-up point before heading to Emirates (about a 20-minute walk). It shows live sport with plenty of screens throughout, including in the beer garden, meaning you can catch early kick-offs or post-match action. The pub is known as an Arsenal spot that attracts large home crowds on matchdays, building a lively atmosphere. Hearty pub food is served, useful for lining up before or winding down after the game.
No-frills big pub (sticky floor and fast service), good for live sports, many screens, plus one big one, hung high enough for short people too. £4 for a pint of soft drink.
What a brilliant pub. The hospitality is top notch. Big shoutout to all that work here, especially Jerry that made sure we were comfortable! Definitely recommend and will definitely return!
We started using this pub on Sundays after a couple of years searching and experimenting with different venues. Eventually we found it by talking to locals that did use The Quays in Holloway Road before it closed. It is a pub, not a restaurant but it's the food that counts. A roast consists of a variety of vegetables mashed swede and potatoes, not just mashed blended with flavours, different greens again not just boiled, potato gratin, Yorkshire pudding and a very generous portion of Lamb or Beef which is perfectly cooked. It looks awe inspiring and is all beautifully cooked. The staff are professionally trained in the traditional Irish way, pleasant but efficient. Order at the bar and adjust your dish there, no problems if you want some more of this or don't want that. The food comes out and arrives at your table with everything you might need or requested, delivered politely with tables cleared promptly. At £11:50 it's a good meal with value for money, drinks are reasonably priced
Visited The Twelve Pins today to watch the football and the landlady’s attitude completely ruined the experience. Rude, confrontational and unbelievably poor with customers. When I ordered my first drink, the barmaid told me my well behaved dog was absolutely fine to stay inside. Twenty minutes later, after I’d bought another drink, I was suddenly told the dog had to go outside because he was “too big” and they were serving food. Completely inconsistent and handled terribly. My dog was calm, quiet and bothering nobody. Instead of dealing with it politely, the whole interaction felt hostile and unnecessary. There are plenty of pubs nearby with far better customer service and a much more welcoming atmosphere. I definitely won’t be returning.
Went last night to watch the football with a friend after playing bowling next door. Different games showed throughout which was good. The staff were very friendly. We also ordered food which was really tasty - the fish and chips was a very good size and the curry sauce was delicious! Would definitely recommend and would return again if I was ever in the area.
