Myself and my grandparents are frequent visitors of the Whittington and are always served quite well. However, our visit on this occasion was a large let down as the staff took over 40 minutes to deliver us our food when we ordered, the branch was not particularly busy when we had our meal, so we were particularly concerned with how long it took. Our food was as expected apart from a burnt bun, a member of staff offered to correct this but I was not particularly bothered by it. All in all, the meal and service was OK, just the fact the food took so long generated a large amount of concern with such a quiet branch.

Dined here the other day. Got served by a rude lady behind the bar. You’ll know which one I mean, she’s the one who never smiles, ever says thank you or please. Her older colleague is a lot nicer and attentive which is why I’ve given this 3 stars otherwise it will be 1 star. It wasn’t that busy. Came here for lunch. Took about 15 mins to get served with one one person in front of me. That’s how slow she was. She said food will take about 20 mins to come out when I asked her about the wait. Actually it took around 40 mins. I went for fish and chips. As you can see the portions are tiny. Didn’t even taste nice.

Lovely pub around the block. We visited on a weekday with relatives and so had the entire place almost to ourselves! There's good music, great food, and an excellent atmosphere. There's ample space and it's suitable for large group hangouts too. The servers here have a great attitude and we loved our food and drinks. I had the Korean barbeque ribs and I absolutely loved it! Would definitely recommend.

Food and service here very good. Drinks too, mostly. Disappointed that my Guinness at £5.70 a pint, is always a bad pour in a glass not suitably washed. Grubby head lacking a white colour and any creaminess.

Some items introduced for dog too on menu would be great. Food was pretty fresh, good except some burnt bacon/chicken. Beer was way too fully loaded that was overflowing falling from the glass! Fully loaded chips need more sauce. Wings were brilliantly cooked. Staff are lovely as is service. Good weekday deals. Parking nearby is advisable as one there gets pretty filled up. Will surely visit again.
