Amazing atmosphere Lovely staff Delicious food and food portions I highly recommend
Went with my partner to use a 50% off voucher on the Friday evening. We'd booked for 6pm and it was already quite busy but we were directed to our table straight away. I had the gammon and my partner a rump steak. We weren't waiting long and both meals were hot and well presented. We stayed and had another drink afterwards as the atmosphere was so nice.
Went for a Monday lunch last week. We hadn't been for ages. When you're looking for a quality relaxed pub lunch this is a great place to go. It certainly wasn't empty for a Monday with quite a few tables occupied. Bar service was friendly and quick. We sought a table. The have quite a lot with high stools which I don't get on with but we found a "normal" table easily enough. I had the scampi and chips and he had the ultimate burger. The food was cooked well and was fresh tasting. We did however swap chips because I like the skinny ones and he the fat ones. We both ordered sauces, I had the peppercorn for dipping chips into and he had the chicken gravy which was slightly thicker than he expected. The staff were cheerful and efficient and we will be going back again to taste more on their menu. Just as an aside, be careful when parking. We were unaware that you have to pay for parking there, the signage isn't really in your face and we got a £100 fine. However, after talking to the pub we can take the fine notice and our receipt back to them and they will sort it. They were apologetic and really helpful.
I came yesterday with family. The food was gorgeous in itself hot and we was more than happy. The staff themselves were friendly, warm and welcoming. I hate to moan someone came in with a dog and she picked it up and sat it on a stool at the side of the bar. Other than that cracking couple of hours. Thank you 😁
Good service at the bar & waitress is alwasy lovely & so helpful. Chicken schnitzel and Gammon egg & chips were ordered we both throughly enjoyed the meals especially with 40% discount offer.
