Long awaited catchup with an ex colleague as I took early retirement at Christmas Pub was very busy, recommend booking on weekends and Friday night. Our waitress Diane was very welcoming and friendly, explaining the specials board and taking our drinks orders before returning for the food order. We had the famous cheese and onion pie, chips, beans and a side order of gravy, and the chicken tikka kebab, marinated chicken tikka chargrilled, on a giant garlic nan bread, salad, mint raita, medium curry sauce, and fresh coriander. Food came quickly, especially as they were very busy ,generous portions, and was delicious as Diane had promised. We didn't have room for dessert, but after several drinks, vowed to return the next time we have a catch up

I love this place! Food is banging every time and absolutely delicious! The prices have gone up over the years but for this pub it’s definitely worth every penny!! Menu undergoes some changes every once in a while and the website is not updated regularly, so I finally snapped some pics for the ones who are wanting to see an up to date menu! This is from Feb 2026 :)

We went for a mid-week lunch. It was very busy, which is good to see, and the service was impeccable. The food was excellent, generous and cooked to perfection. They do small portions of most things on the menu too which is great for anyone with a lesser appetite. We will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant with large beer garden. Does good food with two sizes for smaller appetites. Disappointed with desert selection though, I love a sweet but only three options so didn't bother.

Second time my mum and I have been. And we will definitely be back again. Tom served us, and he was so attentive and hilarious. I love the question of the week. The food is so delicious and such good value for money.
