Love it!!!!! Warm, friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The Sunday roast is simply the best around and the rest of the menu doesn't disappoint either. Turned up an hour early for our booking, but were welcomed like old friends. Would rate higher if I could! ❀️🌟

It was very quiet when we arrived at 7.30pm, but a few more arrived to eat then more just for drinks. The menu had a good choice with some vegetarian options too. Everything we ordered was extremely good, perfectly cooked and presented. Good portion sizes , and hot. Also very reasonably priced.

Fabulous!! Absolutely love it here. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel so welcome, the staff are great (Alex is exceptional) and the food is top notch. Perfect for any occasion. Update 03/11/2024 - amazing as ever, can't fault it. I was devastated to leave a little mash and roast potato as it was so good, maybe shouldn't have had that extra pint before the food came, but that was exceptional too! 🍺 Whoever decided that apricot works on top of a shepherd's pie deserves a Michelin star 🌟 Absolutely unreal πŸ‘ and the rest of the food was great too πŸ‘Œβ€οΈ

⭐⭐⭐

A fairly popular local pub. We went as a group for lunch after going for a hike in the nearby reservoir. We were quite disappointed with the service, choice of drinks and the food options. We ended up leaving after having drinks. If you are not fussy about what you drink or eat, then this is a cosy enough local. Not suitable for someone who is out of area, like us.

Just had a beef Sunday roast. Beef was not edible. When approached the staff was told there's nothing wrong with it. Very poor customer care. Paid Β£65. Wasted money. Not a nice experience. Do not recommend.
