We stayed overnight at The York in Morecambe and had a really pleasant experience. The beds were especially comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The room itself was decent—nothing over the top, but perfectly fine for a short stay. It was also nice to have plenty of coffee and sugar available, which is always appreciated. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely consider coming back.
We made a return visit after really enjoying our last meal.|We were very disappointed I’m afraid. |We both had the York burger, was supposed to be 2x4oz steaks in a bun with onions and mushrooms. It was inedible, full of gristle and an awful lot of fat. Was supposed to have nachos and it didn’t. Even the bun was dry. The onions rings were very good though. When our plates were collected it was obvious it hadn’t been eaten. Had we been asked if we’d enjoyed our meal, we would have been honest and you would have had chance to put things right rather than me writing a review. My last review couldn’t have been any better. How sad, I do hope you survive but you will have to up your game
We couldn’t come into The York due to injury but didn’t want to miss out on the haggis pie special so Sarah did us 2 as takeaways, told us the best way to heat them up and they were amazing. They’re always so friendly and go above and beyond for their customers
I regularly visit the York to eat, drink and have stayed in the pub. Since Sarah and Paul have taken over the atmosphere has been great, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Perfect for any event, what more could you want! I recommend to all
