Shows all live sport, including every televised Premier League game on Sky and TNT Sports, making it a reliable matchday viewing spot. Listings and posts indicate games are shown across screens, so you won't miss the action. The pub also advertises big-screen sport and has a car park, which helps if you're driving to watch a game. If you're coming by public transport, WhatPub lists Felling (Metro) and Heworth (rail/Metro) within roughly 1.2–1.3 km. Hot food is served from a full menu, useful for pre- or post-match meals.
Popped in for a meal before a football match after choosing it at random from a Google search. Food was great and reasonably priced. The chips in particular were excellent. Would definitely go back and try more of the menu without hesitation. Service was excellent. Friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Only thing that was disappointing to me, as is often the case, is my beer preference as the only choice was John Smith's Extra Smooth. Not a deal breaker but a real ale on tap and Id be running back here regularly.
Amazing staff, polite and helpful told us kitchen closes at 20 00 or later if not busy so we went down for food before .they said we can call beforehand if we are coming so kitchen staff knows.excellent food for money .
Home-cooked meals made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, Great portions, great prices What we ordered: Salt & Chilli Gyro – battered crispy golden chicken with peppers & onions, all wrapped in a soft flatbread. Served with fries (I did swap for proper home cooked chips 😍) and curry sauce… unreal combo! Sizzler – Jamaican Jerk chicken packed with flavour, loaded with peppers & onions, and served with your choice of rice or tortilla wrap. Comes with salsa, sour cream & cheese — the perfect mix. Swipe to hear the sizzle 😮💨
Excellent service for my dad’s funeral wake, the food was lovely and there was more than enough. The staff were lovely and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Thank you!
Excellent meal in the newly refurbished Fiddlers. The management and staff are welcoming and attentive, the food is copious and tasty and there is a wide-ranging menu covering everything from pub classics to burgers, sizzlers and pizzas. Different offers throughout the week and it was busy even on a Thursday in September so worth booking for big groups. Highly recommended.
