Visited here a few weeks ago. Canny little bar and quiet atmosphere with decent music. German Pilsner is £6 a pint which I thought was a bit dear but tasted nice so no real issues. Lad behind the bar was brilliant as well.

A true gem of a pub, definitely in my top 5 in Newcastle/Gateshead. It's beautiful externally and internally, great range of beers, friendly staff. The little venue upstairs is good and, I'm told, the roof terrace is nice on the 3 sunny days a year we get on Tyneside.

We ve been here a few times for lunch. It’s never busy at this time during the week. They do a great selection of pork pies scotch eggs and the like. Ideal if you want something quick. Great selection of beers and welcoming and friendly bar man. It’s well known locally for music and has a roof top bar that’s very popular. Tucked out the way but well worth a visit.

Lovely views from the rooftop and good selection of local ciders and cask ales. Live music room on the second floor seemed to feature lots of local artists. The food menu looked delicious but unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat. We’ll be back.
