📍 1.8 miles from Gateshead International Stadium
Right next to St James’ Park on Strawberry Place (NE1 4SG), this is Newcastle United’s official fanzone with multiple big screens and full commentary for televised matches—ideal if you don’t have a ticket or want a pre/post-match base. It’s purpose-built under the Gallowgate End with a large capacity, creating a lively Toon Army atmosphere on matchdays (home supporters only). Six bars and a lineup of street-food traders mean quick service and plenty of choice for groups before and after the game.
Great spot at St. James’ STACK right next to the stadium, lively, modern, and perfect on match days. Plenty of street-food options, bars, and big screens, creating a fun fan-zone atmosphere before and after games. Good mix of music, food, and football energy with views of St James’ Park. Ideal place to hang out with friends and soak up the Newcastle match-day vibe.
Great location. Gets busy very quick and no rhyme or reason but just find a table. Had a band on that was good before the match on the big screens. We enjoyed it and will be back.
I visited during lunchtime and was really impressed. The setup is incredibly unique, with large shipping containers stacked together to create a vibrant space full of diverse food options. The variety of cuisines on offer is fantastic, and the overall vibe of the place is unlike anything else. What really surprised me on my first visit was how busy it was, even on a weekday. The live music added a great atmosphere and made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the different vendors. The food I had was really good with not a lot of choice from the particular vendor, but with how busy it must get, I can't imagine they could provide many more options. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!
I can't recommend the pub quiz to any actual quiz fan. If you're doing well you're hit with huge points deductions to prevent you winning any money, and/or you're made to spin a forfeits wheel. There are much better alternatives for a Monday night quiz in the town centre - Trent House, The Forth, The Hotspur, Habita etc with no added gimmicks
Went on Saturday, Newcastle away, people queuing when we passed at 9.30am. Went in around 11am, no tables but managed to find a barrel & stool by the bar. Lots of variety of food to choose from, quick service & also quick service at the bar. Toilets clean. Great atmosphere with a live band.
