What a fantastic experience! We came for a bottomless brunch and the staff are absolutely amazing. The food was fab and large portions for a brunch. The cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere great. I would definitely recommend. The views across the tyne are amazing. It's a hidden gem which doesn't get the footfall it should for it's quality!
Nice pub with great views, friendly service, good food and dog friendly to boot. Crunchiest hash browns I’ve ever had. Everything on the menu looked tasty, we opted for the Croque Monsieur and the Toonali Burger. Would happily recommend.
Hosted a surprise silver wedding anniversary party in the private function room at the lock and quay and couldn’t recommend it enough, the staff were all so helpful and attentive throughout the day and when setting the room up, it’s in a great location with amazing views of the river Tyne, all the guests commented about how great the room and the location was, will definitely book for a function again as would the family and friends who attended!!
Ive been twice now. Once for Sunday lunch with my family and also for 241 burgers on a Tuesday with the girls. Both times I've been really impressed with the food and the service. The meat on the Sunday lunch was some of the best I've ever had. We felt at ease with the kids just being themselves too. Some places we don't feel so welcome when they're a bit loud -but not here, it was really chilled! Grandparents were impressed with the lovely river views too. I'd definitely recommend ordering something with chips. I can't get over how good they were.
Had daughter baby shower here 29/11/25 place was amazing nothing a bother for them food was outstanding and staff were brilliant and friendly would defo recommend for a family or party 🎉
