A lovely pub. Decor is really dated and old tho. Bar area is quite small but Karen, the bartender was really friendly and lovely. Could definitely be a contender as a popular pub, due to its location. The bar staff and locals are really friendly and welcoming. It's just the interior decor that let's it down slightly. Needs investing in. It already hosts popular quiz, bingo nights, and I've heard- live music nights, but a karaoke event would really get it buzzing. There's a lack of decent pubs in the area and this wouldn't have any competition if it just had a bit of investment. Have yet to eat here, but I've heard good things about the food

A large group of us came today after a walk for some drinks. We immediately were made to feel so welcome by offering to let us bring the tables together. And the best part was a bowl of complementary roast potatoes. We thought that this was ever so kind and very much welcome after a walk. They were delicious. Can't wait to go back. Would give six stars if I could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A lovely atmosphere. Let them know in advance if you want a vegetarian roast if going for Sunday lunch. We didn’t and so it was not available but they were very accommodating and so I would still highly recommend.
