Visited here on of chance looking for a pub with music. We went in and straight away was greeted by local darrell which was very welcoming the prices are standard although was bit cheaper than most. The barman Scott was great with his service and friendly this pub is a locals pub but very welcoming so if you do visit just be respectful and enjoy.
What a little gem. Amazing pub that I have just been told has been taken over. Well, all I can say is that you would think the landlady Lisa has been there for years. She’s amazing fun, full of knowledge and couldn’t do enough for us. We’ve had a great night tonight, bit of singing and dancing. Great pub and staff, would highly recommend.
Very loud music. Even louder group of men. Swearing. The F word was used. Sadly an alcoholic male who was no problem but sat making droning noises. A child running up and down the length of the pub. Not a good experience. We left after one drink. The wine was not nice either. The female bar staff did an amazing job as appeared on her own and was kept busy
Would have been a better experience had the goby 20 something was not so loud and obnoxious. Wearing a dress that was three sizes too small. Harassed some poor girl at the bar trying to persuade her to go to a party with her and her friends. Think I’ll try again this weekend and it might be better
Good town pub, disco Saturday night and karaoke last night. They do John Smiths. Worth a visit, definitely yes.
