Took my son to our family's football heritage. My family has played, sponsored, and watched hundreds of games over the generations. We are 4th generation supporters, and we travelled from south Wales and Weston-super-Mare. Great club and forever in my heart. Can't wait fir wemberly.

The home of football! For the best seats, sit in the South Stand. The view is great and there are no obstructions to get in your way. The North Stand has a few supporting pillars for the roof so they can obstruct your view. The terracing sections are good though. The Community Stand at the High Street End is a fair distance away from the pitch and you don't get any atmosphere there. If you want atmosphere, the East Bank is for you. Again, there are supporting pillars for the roof, but you can move around and get better views. The facilities are basic, with toilets behind each of the three main stands (South, North and East). The bars are well-stocked and the East Bank Bar is ideal in the summer.

I use to be a season ticket holder of Reading fc but fell out of love with it all, probably due to what I see as over commercialisation. I hadn't been to a football stadium for 15 years as as nice as the new stadia is they are very often soulless clones in my opinion. I always had the urge to go and watch Hartlepool United as they are my nans home town team and decided to go to Aldershot v Hartlepool and just walking in to the ground sent warm nostalgic waves right through me. The smell of the refreshment bars and odour of the old timber stands really made me smile and from that day has relit my enthusiasm for football, but football at this kind of level. I am not an Aldershot supporter but was also impressed with the passion of their fans and certainly I tend to visit again. Great place.

OK. So it's my local ground and team. Without this, I've always questioned what people in towns without football teams did at weekends and midweek evenings. Support your local side

Great place to watch football from seats or terracing.
