This is our favourite pub❤️ The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is always amazing, full of lots of friendly locals who are always up for a chat! The food is absolutely amazing. Our valentines meal tonight was superb, big shout out to the chef and team! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had, it was extremely tender and cooked perfectly. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious and my partner loved his chocolate covered strawberries.
Been coming here for months now. Proper local pub with great atmosphere and lovely staff. Pub quiz every Wednesday which is a great laugh and well worth the visit. Also now a top notch chef who does amazing Sunday roasts and great burgers. Just need to try the Ribeye Steak now.
If you like a calm, traditional pub atmosphere with friendly service and food for a good price then The Greyhound Ash ✅✅✅. Drinks are good value for money (in this current situation), the pub has plenty of quiet seating spots and the sharer plate (see greyhound menu was superb for £20 (2 starving people, 3 hungry or 4 light picky eaters). Mac and cheese bites, lightly fried onion rings with sweet chilli sauce, bbq, mayo or ketchup as well as jalapeno poppers were absolutely what we needed. Chef staff and bar staff were friendly and checked in on us which was appreciated. Also, the pub is a great venue for a relaxed evening if you're looking to listen to some Ska, we were lucky to watch Swarm 🎹🎸 (who were awesome!!!) in a relaxed environment making it a brilliant Friday evening.
We held my mothers wake at The Greyhound yesterday afternoon and we can thank the team enough. They went out of there way to make the afternoon go as smoothly as possible and even offer to make make separate food for the 2 children in attendance. There was a good good selection of freshly made food for the wake itself, and the areas that they set aside for us was amazing. If anyone is looking for a local pub to hold a wake in I would recommend The Greyhound without hesitation. Keep up the good work guys and thank you again.
We attended this place for the England v Spain match. Firstly, we dropped into the venue to ask about seating and food. The man behind the bar was informative and enthusiastic. Based upon his advice, we attended later in the day and enjoyed delicious burgers. During the match, everyone was friendly and the place was often silent as people watched the football. I recommend this place because of the friendly atmosphere and the food was lovely.
